My favourite holiday

My favourite holiday is Forster

This is my favourite holiday because it has everything my family likes such as lots of kids, a pool,a trampoline and a caravan park and heaps more.

When we go to Forster we go to hallidays point we usually go at Easter.

My favourite thing to do there is make lots of friends.

There are so many kids activities every day there is something different to do such as drawing, painting, making stuff, sand art and more.

When were there we ride our bikes, play tennis, play on the trampoline and heaps and heaps more.

Forster is in New South Wales Australia.

Myst Art

Our class had to choose an age in myst and draw it. i choose to draw the space ship I used pastels. Some of us smudged the pastels. Most of us drew the space ship. This is a photo of mine.

Stand Up Against Poverty

At the start of Term 4 our school helped people that are really sick and with out food or water by standing up and saying were not going to sit down and watch those who need help anymore. Our class arranged for the whole school to wear white and for the school to come down to the netball court and stand up. We stood up with more then 173 million other people around the world.

Coles plastic bag challenge

Our class participated in the coles plastic bag challenge. We collected 1588 plastic bags. Everyone around 2 plastic bags in each. We collected the bags to stop wild life dieing. When we finished collecting the plastic bags our class got to throw the plastic bags up and our teacher took a photo. this is the photo.

Melbourne cup

On the 3 of October our class celebrated Melbourne cup by doing a lucky dip and chooing a horse. We made a jersey like theirs. We also made hats. After we made the jerseys and the hats all 45's, 67's, 3l and 3w came to watch the race. The winner got a chocoate. The person's horse that came second got smarties and the person horse who's came third got a caramello koala. After that 4/5 D came in to judge our hats and our jerseys. The people who came first and second got a jelly bean. then our teacher judged 4/5 D classes jerseys and hats.

Phases of the moon

There are eight phases of the moon. The phases are New moon, Waxing crescent, First quarter, Waxing gibbous, Full moon, Waning gibbous, last quarter, and the last phase is Waning crescent. The moon gets it's light from the sun. It takes 29 and a half days for the moon to orbit earth.







A New moon is when the Moon, Earth and Sun are all in a straight line and Earth is blocking the moon from the sun so the sun can't shine on the moon and it looks invisible. When the moon, Earth and Sun are all in a straight line the moon is pulling the water towards it and this causes a high tide this is the first phrase.







The next phase is Waxing crescent this is when the moon moves a bit over so some of the sun is shining on the moon. The moon looks like a banana.







The third phase is First quarter this is when half of the moon can be seen. The First quarter is also called half moon. Only half the moon can be seen because the earth is blocking the light on the other half of the moon.







The fourth phase is Waxing gibbous. A Waxing gibbous is when three quarters of the moons disk can be seen because the moon has moved towards the sun and the moon is blocking a little of the sun light.





The next phase is Full moon this is when the whole moon can be seen. When the Sun, Moon and Earth are in a straight line and the sun is shining straight on the moon this causes a full moon and it will be a high tide.







The sixth phase is Waning gibbous a waning gibbous is when the moon looks like it is getting smaller and the moon is starting to move back behind Earth. The Earth is blocking a little bit of the moons disk.





The next phase is Last quarter this is when only half of the moons disk can be seen because the moon is moving back behind Earth and the Earth is blocking the sunlight.




The last phase is Waning crescent this is when this is when a little bit of the moon can be seen because the moon is moving back behind they Earth and the Earth is blocking the sunlight.



We need the moon because it affects the tide. The sea animals wouldn't survive, fisher man wouldn't have jobs and there wouldn't be high and low tide.

Halloween-All Saints Day-All Souls Day

On the 31st of October every year i is Halloween. The word Halloween means (Holy eve). Halloween is the night before All Saints Day. On All Saints Day we pray for all those people who became Saints. On All Souls Day we remember and pray for all those who died and All Souls Day is on the 2nd of November.

camp

On Thursday the 29th of October and Friday the 30th of October, all three 45's went on camp.



we went to bilabial at Camp Good Enough in NSW. Mr D, Mr H, Mrs R, Mrs A, Mrs AR, Mrs T, Mrs S and Mr M all came on camp with us. When we got there they told us what cabins we were in. The people that were in my cabin were really nice. I made allot of new friends.We had to make our beds and get all ready.











When we did all that group 1 went to the flying fox, we got pulled up on this big wire string then we went back down.















We went on camp to make new friends, work together and challenge ourselves.











We had a lot of games like the Flying fox and Initiative games.











At lunch,dinner and breakfast we had to wash our plates,cups,folks,knives and bowls. Also when we were having lunch, dinner and breakfast all the groups had to set up. When we set up we had say an adjective to describe the food.

We also did a talent show and trivia night it was so fun we had to sit in groups and answer questions.















My favourite game was the carpet game, you had to throw carpet squares on the ground and two people aren't allowed to be on a mat, your not allowed to touch two mats at the same time and you're not allowed to touch the ground. We have to go to the other side then back.It was really fun and our team won.

Come Back Gizmo

Today i read come back gizmo
this book is really good. I think it was really mean how the boy locked biscuit in the car boot.An adult found the dog biscuit and gave him a gizmo.
I think it is funny because the gizmo turned the boy in to a dog and the dog in to a boy.When the dog who was the boy tried to speak but all that came out was a woof.The boy who was the dog didn't know any words because he was a dog.
